Inspectron® Connected Tools Network Requirements
Version: October 2024
- The Wireless Area Network (WAN) must comply with IEEE 802.11n. For best performance 802.11ac support is recommended.
- Wi-Fi communications must conform with the WPA and WPA2 security standards, and the EAP authentication standard.
- The tools can connect to a network using either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz radio frequencies. It is recommended to have both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network frequencies available to connect to, should there be device congestion on a frequency.
- A secured network connection is required:
-
- The host network must be password protected for the tool, app and tablet to be used in infrastructure mode.
- Access to wicollab-inspectrontools.com
- When the tools are used in network mode, UDP/TCP/RTSP/MQTT ports 35051, 39624, 39625, 46932, 8554 and 1883 will be used to communicate between the tool and devices hosting WiCollab. These ports should be open to establish connection between the tool and the host deviceFor best connectivity experience, the tools should be assigned static IP addresses in the network router/gateway.
- Tools cannot be used in Network Mode IF Captive Portal or Radius Authentication is in use
- Tools can be used in P2P mode
- Domains to whitelist:
